Our
annual
Spring Concert will take place on Tuesday,
May 17th,
2011 at
7:00 p.m. in the Auditorium.
If a parent is
unable to attend
the evening show, we invite
you to join us
during our afternoon
show for the students
at 1:50 p.m.
For the evening performance musicians are expected to arrive
no earlier than 6:30 p.m. and no later than 6:45.
Boys should wear dress pants and a dress shirt. (Tie is optional)
Girls should wear a dress or a skirt.
I trust parents' opinions on what is appropriate concert attire.
I would like to see bright, spring colors.
***Many students ask what they should wear for the daytime show.
In the afternoon performance, students do NOT need to get all
dressed up. I would ask that the musicians wear a "half-way
decent" outfit. In other words, no old jeans or old t-shirts. Just
wear something that looks fairly nice that is not your dress-up clothes.

Our very own John Paterson Chorus has been invited to sing
at the opening ceremony for Newington's Relay for Life!
This event will take place on Friday night, May 20th, starting
at
6:00 P.M. More information will come home soon, including
permission slips.
Most likely Mr. Kemp will ask that anyone
singing at the Opening
Ceremony shows up no later than 5:30.
There are MANY great things to do at this opening ceremony!
I would suggest making it a family night and visiting the various
booths to help support the effort of the Relay for Life
in order
to raise awareness about and funds to fight Breast Cancer.
We are singing "Celebration", the fun song from 1980 by Kool
