I am proud to announce that the John Paterson Chorus
has been invited to sing at the 2017 Newington Relay for Life.
The Relay is held each year to benefit the American Cancer Society.
This year’s Relay is to be held on Saturday, June 10th, at
Mill Pond Park.
This year we are singing the song “Firework” by Katy Perry.
Opening Ceremony takes place at 6:00. I am asking the singers
to be at Mill Pond Park at 5:45 to gather together with me.
We will meet near the Show Mobile Stage, (nearby the swimming
pool area I think).
The opening ceremony, including our “Firework” performance,
should be done by 6:30; however, we have been asked to do an
additional set of music at 6:30. I plan to ask the Paterson Chorus
to stick around to perform 3 songs from our concert – “Dreams
of Harmony”, “Allunde Alluia”, and “The Rainbow Connection”.
We may even add another song. With the extra performance at
6:30, I expect us to finish somewhere around 6:45 – 7:00.
Anyone attending the Relay for Life to sing with Mr. Kemp
must learn
