The Walk

by Frieda Friendly

Most of you reading this story have nice names like Ashley,
Holly, Matt and many more. But my neighbor’s name will
make you go deaf. Her name is ……………......................
AGATHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But I call her Bloody Aggy. I think
her favorite colors were red and black because I have never
seen her in any other colors .I never seen Bloody Aggy face,
if she had one .I call her Bloody Aggy because I bet her face is
so bloody. Bloody Aggy has a killing, eating and slicing dog. His
name was Spook. Spooks dog breath smelled liked a dead rat
that bathed in swamp water. Last but not least well maybe
least but I am Bloody Aggy’s neighbor. Matt. Or as my parents
like Matthew. Went it was 1975 September twenty my parents
and I moved on to Forrest  street in Boston. Went it was 1975
my parents and I moved to Salem, New Hampshire. When it
was my first night in my new house I heard a big thud! I went
to go look out my window. It was the FIRST TIME I SAW
BLOODY A……G……G……Y… I did not scream or yell because
it was at twelve o’clock midnight. Her dog was the most meanest
dog I have ever seen and then I gave her the nickname Bloody
Aggy. I saw Bloody Aggy lock her door. I got a little scared
because Spook did not have a leash on. I looked out my window
for about forty-five minutes. I say to myself Bloody Aggy takes
so long to walk in the woods. I climbed down the gutter from my
window, when I touch the ground I start following Bloody Aggy’s
footprints in the gushy mud. “Oh no”, I said to myself. “Here
comes Bloody Aggy and Spook.” I climbed up the gutter as fast
as I could. “Oh no”, I said to myself. My foot slipped from the
gutter. Bloody Aggy ran to her house as fast as she could. She
got her long ladder and put it on the side of my house. Bloody
Aggy grabbed me by the waist and carried me down. When we
touched the ground I pulled down her hood and……She was the
prettiest girl I have ever seen. She looked like an angel from heaven.
She said, “You do not have to run from me.” “OK”, I say. “Why did
you save me?” “Because I love children.” “Hey you mean little adult
to me.” “OK I am going home now. Bye, bye.” As I opened my front
door I said her new nickname is my best friend.
